Regarding the Bimota V Due: One of the guys here in Michigan took delivery of a V Due, which he had ordered thru Greg Rammel. He took the new bike up to Grattan Raceway for the annual Ducati Owners of Canada Rally, where the guys from Motorcyclist Magazine had come to test the bike. Also on hand was a Bimota engineer who had come from Italy to help with everything.
They never could get the thing to run well. The MotorCyclist testers poked around the track and took a lot of photos, but they couldn’t get the thing up to speed.
The bike was eventually shipped back to the factory as I think they all were. There was a rumor that the bikes would get new engines, but I don’t know what ever happened to them.
