UPDATE: Fun Looking Racebike

I confess that I'm not sure what it is? Anyone? Appears Italian.

From the comments Tanshanomi has enlightend us thet it's an Italian, a 50cc ITOM. Excellent and Thanks! I did a little poking around and found some info on the history of the brand HERE. Cool stuff.

Yes, it's Italian, a 50cc ITOM -- I don't recall seeing that long, square tank with the backbone (no downtube) frame, so beyond that, I'm stumped.

Greetings from UK! Clearly this posting is much later than the earlier two.
I am the rider in this photo and the machine is indeed a 1969 Itom 50cc racer. I have owned it since 1983 and it was converted into a fairly standard-tune competition bike by former Club champion Dave Brearley. Dave and I are members of the Classic 50 Racing Club here in UK and there are 20 of us who regularly compete in UK Club championships. These days the Itom models are not seen too often 'on track' in club racing as the machines of the 1970s (Minarelli P6 engined specials, Kreidlers,Honda Dream 50R (CR110 replicas), and the early Kawasaki AR and Yamaha YZ models) generally are far more powerful. This photo was taken at the UK's premier Sprint meeting. Actually, this shot is currently featuring in an article in 'Motorcycle USA'. Hope this information is of interest and if anyone would like to know more about 50cc racing in UK please make contact. Thank you -
